Deathwatch: Overkill Unboxing

As many of you will know, the new boxed game from Games Workshop was released on Saturday - Deathwatch Overkill!

In this post, I'll unbox the brute :)

This unboxing is one I'm counting as bonus Monday content (I already put stuff up this weekend - Commissar Part 1), so will be a little less wordy than some of my other Games Workshop unboxings.

The game retails for £100, but I picked it up for £79.99 from Element Games (£0.01 lower than their free postage limit - add in a pot of paint and get free 1st class post). It contains 50 plastic models - 11 Deathwatch Space Marines and 39 Cultists and Genestealers. You also get the rules, boards, cards and dice required to play the game.

Upon opening the box, you are greeted by the rules package on one side and all of the miniatures on the other.

Get the rules out of the way and there is a small sheet of bubble pockets to fill out the one side to stop movement.

Bases - lots of shapes and sizes on offer.

Aside from the miniatures, here's the other content for the box. There are two sets of cards, a flexible clear plastic measuring device, rules, assembly guide and dice.

The boards - 8 boards, each roughly A4 in size and double sided.

Now the sprues. I've deliberately left the sprue pictures at the size they were taken so to potentially offer maximum details. They'll probably get lost in the warp somewhere though.

First, two identical cultist sprues.

The Stealer Character sprue.

Deathwatch!

There are some really cool details across the sprues, such as the White Scars shield.

For those that just got the box to use the minis in 40k, Games Workshop have released the rules for free and can be found right here. I believe they may also be found split between this weeks and next weeks issues of White Dwarf.

If you fancy having a look at some of my other GW unboxings, you can find them below.
